FMC chose dacromet 320 coated M24 grade 10.9 SQUIRTER™ DTIs DTIs to control the tightening of the base plates on their Mobile Airplane Access ramp assemblies. They wanted about 55,000 lb tension in the bolts and had used torque unsuccessfully to put the bolt tension in this range. These photos show the pre-squirter version of the DTI's compressed under the bolt heads.
