What is meant by "snug tight"?
The RCSC defines this as the point where the connection plies are in firm contact, and can be obtained by the full effort of a man on a spud wrench.
With DTI's, life is much simpler. We define "snug tight" as the partial, but not complete, compression of a DTI. This will be about half bolt tension, and will deform connection plates together, even though you can't see inside to really know.
