Will the silicone from Squirter® DTI's interfere with adhesion of field paint systems?
No. First, the silicone which squirts out is dry, cured, and powdery, and although it clings to the steel for a few days, it generally soon blows away or is washed away by any rainfall. Certainly within a few weeks it will generally not be visible.
Secondly, any field painting must be preceeded by some type of light surface cleaning process even if it is just an air blast to clean off the footprint mud, or a more serious cleaning it the bolt heads and nuts have been galvanized in order to remove the wax lubricant. Any cleaning such as this will certainly remove any residual dry silicone.
